the signing ceremony of the China Sodium-ion Times project was held.It is understood that the project is invested and constructed by China Sodium-ion Times(Shenzhen)New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd.(referred to as:CSIT).The total investment of the project is 740 million yuan,covering an area of 100 acres.The main construction content is to produce 2.5GWh sodium-ion batteries annually.and an annual output of 5GWh Pack+energy storage battery.

Public information shows that CSIT was established in December 2022.Chairman Hu Haiping was the president of Shanshan Group and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of lithium battery materials;the chief scientist,Academician Wu Feng,is a scientist in the field of new energy materials.The company's 10,000-ton sodium battery cathode material production line and 0.5GWh sodium battery core pilot production line have entered the construction planning stage.

In May this year,CSIT announced that the company had completed Angel Investment financing,led by Zijingang Capital and participated by Shenzhen High-tech Investment.The company's current round of financing will be mainly used for the construction of production lines for sodium-ion battery cathode materials and the development of sodium-ion batteries.In June,the company announced that it had received strategic investment from Shenzhen High-tech Investment to strengthen the research and development of sodium-ion battery cathode materials and sodium battery cells.
